I'm working on a couple of entrelac baby blankets. Truly a labor of love! Pinks, purples and black! I have just posted this in my Etsy shop and have already received a custom order. It will be my great pleasure to create a luxury, family heirloom for them.
Entrelac is not for the novice knitter, but there are some great tutorials on YouTube to get started. I like a single crochet edge and the black yarn had some lovely grey tones running throughout.
A generous 52" L x 35" W is perfect for the crib or stroller.
I am anxious to get some entrelac scarf patterns written up! Keep your eyes open!
Happy New Year,
Sheila

OH WOW!!!! I LOVE it. Such a lovely combination of colours. I wonder if I could cope with entrelac or if I should just crumble and order one......
ReplyDeleteI always encourage knitters and "hookers" to jump in! My first entrelac project was a blanket. Simple, straight forward and easy first project. Go for it!

What a stunning blanket, it's absolutely beautiful :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great blanket! I love the texture it has. I'm visiting from Someday Crafts link party!

That is stunning! Someday I would like to try entrelac!
ReplyDeleteShazam! Those colors are fabulous together, and what a great combination for a sophisticated baby blanket. Lovely work. Entrelac is on my list, but not something I've tried yet. I think it might've just moved to the short list...
ReplyDeletePaula, HA! I laughed out load at your note! My new fav word for 2013.....SHAZAM! You made me smile tonight! Thanks for the kind words and comment!

Very pretty, would never have thought of using black in a baby's blanket; but it sure makes the pinks and purples pop. Congrats on getting an order already.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I get so many orders for baby blankets and they are rarely for traditional colors!

Beautiful work, I really love the pastel coloured one on the sidebar too.
ReplyDeleteThank you! You know, I'm not one for traditional colors for baby blankets, but I do LOVE that pastel blanket myself! Thank you for the note.

Very cute!!! I'm choosing your blanket as a feature from my Super Link Party! You will be featured at my next party on Wednesday! I hope you come by and grab your "Featured" button. :-)
ReplyDeleteIf you have a blog button, I'll be happy to display it under Featured Guests on my sidebar for the week of the party. Please let me know if you have one. :-)
Whoo hoo! Hurray for me! Thank you. I'll be there, for sure, to get my "Featured" button. If I knew how to make my own button, I would have one for you! Alas, I am not very computer savvy. I also need to figure out how to make an ad button as well for another site! Woe is me? If you could just include my blog address that would be appreciated.
