Cathedral Shawl

I'm off on vacation tomorrow, so I'm getting in one last post for the week.  Going to do some visiting with family in St. Louis, Missouri and visit a few local yarn shops.  Will return with lots of yummy yarny goodness to share.  This is my latest pattern and is an easy, advanced beginner pattern.  Still, it's interesting enough to keep the more advanced knitter happy! Great project for car or airplane trips.  Would look gorgeous in a long run yarn!

A generous size for the smaller frame or larger gal like myself!  Beautiful Madeline Tosh DK in Cathedral was a joy to knit with.  Three skeins will get you this size, but even two skeins will give a pleasing outcome.

Stockinette stitch brings out the lovely colors and a simple eyelet row and soft ruffles add interest.  The garter stitch border rounds out this simply elegant shawl.

Softly draping your shoulders or over a coat is fashion at its best.  Would look great in a cotton yarn too, for the warmer weather this side of the pond!

One skein of Caron Simply Soft and larger needles is very cost effective for a scarflette.
